"Lovely Victoria" Coordinate

I decided to jumpstart this virtual diary by posting my new Lolita items that came in the mail yesterday! On 3/28/11 I went on the Internet and bought a pretty Classic Lolita skirt and a plain blouse from Bodyline. They took two full days to get to Idaho from Japan; I was soooo excited because I finally had another Lolita outfit to wear! It’s called “Lovely Victoria” (hence the title) since the floral print on the skirt made me think of the Victorian Era.

My skirt can be seen below:

My blouse can be seen below:

When ordering, my biggest fear was that the blouse wouldn’t fit me at all. Even though I’d measured myself in centimeters (with the help of mom) according to Bodyline's size chart two times in a row it was a gamble as to whether or not  they would truly be right. I also worried that the huge bow in the middle wasn't a detachable one. Thankfully those worries turned out to be wrong! Yes, the blouse fits perfectly and yes, the bow is detachable. I absolutely loved the speedy delivery to my doorstep. As I said before, it took only TWO DAYS to get to Idaho from Japan! Plus – the people at Bodyline even sent me a handy tracking code that I could use at all times to see where the destination checkpoints were. Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase and plan on buying from Bodyline again.

Meet Maddison

I’m a 15 yr. old girl growing up in the suburbs around Boise, Idaho. Although attracted to a variety of many different interests (such as: reading, photography, Irish dance, writing, exercising, music, and shopping), my main craze at the present moment is definitely Lolita fashion.

I fell in love with Lolita fashion while searching for anime costumes that  my sister and I could wear to an anime club at the library near our house. While looking, I accidentally came across a very cute Lolita outfit. My passion for that particular type of Japanese clothing is still blossoming into a hobby. I currently own only one Lolita outfit but hope to document my compilation of a wardrobe throughout some of the posts in this virtual diary. Classic Lolita, Deco Lolita, and Gothic Lolita are all my favorite subgenres. You’ll most likely find me wearing the Classic Lolita version because I think it's easy to coordinate. Please refer to my WHAT IS LOLITA FASHION? tab if you are interested but don’t know what I’m talking about. Since this webpage is mainly for other fashion Lolitas out there, I’m just assuming that most readers are familiar with the style.

Unfortunately a lot of things may keep me busy as I try to juggle between this and school, which is why I’ve chosen to maintain a schedule where I ONLY post about twice a month. That way it helps keep my life in balance and provides entries that are easy to track. I might choose to write more... but that may not be the case until classes are officially over for the summer. Thanks so much for checking out my virtual diary!!
